Office Group Limited (OGL) was founded in 1980 under the company name Office Electronics Limited (OEL). OEL was a trading company which imported and supplied electronic typewriters and cash registers. The Company found its strength in its ability to offer clients not only the latest technology available on the market but also a professional backup and after-sales service.
In 1984, at par with the growth of oil companies in the North of Africa, OEL expanded its overseas department. The development in this sector soon merited a special attention and in 1985, a sister company Office Technology Limited (OTL) was set up to cater for the needs of clients especially those in Libya.
In 1988, OEL reached an agreement with Konica Business Machines Europe, becoming their representative in Malta. Our success was recognised by our partners and in 1993, OEL had already been awarded the Konica European Distributor of the Year Award for its excellent performance.
